Search Lincoln Traffic Cases
Traffic cases in Lincoln County are processed by Lincoln County District Court and the Minnesota Court Payment Center. The Lincoln County Court Administrator page says court administration processes Traffic/Criminal cases, collects and disburses fines and fees, and directs traffic-ticket questions and payments to the Court Payment Center. It lists 1-800-657-3611 for callers outside the metro area and 651-281-3219 for callers from 612, 651, 763, or 952 area codes.
The main payment lookup is the Minnesota Court Web Payment System. Case information can also appear in MCRO Case Search when a court case exists. A citation may take up to seven days from receipt to process before the Court Payment Center can assist or online payment is available.

Lincoln County Traffic Court
Minnesota uses a unified district court system. Lincoln County does not have a separate justice court or municipal traffic court listed in the research. Traffic and criminal traffic cases are handled through Lincoln County District Court, a Fifth Judicial District court location in Ivanhoe. Some citations are payable without a court appearance, while others require court.

What Lincoln Traffic Records Show
A court traffic record is the court case file or payment record created from a citation. It can show the citation or case number, offense, hearing activity, plea or payment, fines, fees, conviction, disposition, and failure-to-appear consequences when those items apply. It is not the same as the DPS driver record.

Pay or Contest Lincoln Tickets
Paying a fine without appearing is a guilty plea. The Minnesota Pay Fines page says payment waives rights to trial, counsel, presumption of innocence, confrontation and cross-examination, and silence or testimony rights. If a defendant wants to contest a citation, payment should not be made first. Some citations require court, and the local Court Administrator page states some citation questions may go to the Court Administrator's Office at 507.694.1355.

- Check whether the citation is payable or requires a court appearance.
- Use WebPay, automated phone, mail, or in-person payment if paying a payable citation.
- Schedule or attend court before paying if contesting the citation.
- For no-insurance or no-proof offenses, provide proof of insurance before payment.
- Ask the Court Payment Center about extension or payment-plan eligibility if payment cannot be made.
- Contact court administration quickly after failure to appear or pay because a warrant, late penalties, collections, or license consequences may follow.

Traffic Court vs Driver Record
Lincoln County traffic court records and Minnesota driver records are separate files. The court record comes from the Judicial Branch and Lincoln County District Court. The driver record comes from Minnesota Driver and Vehicle Services within DPS. A conviction or suspension may move from the court system to DVS, but corrections must be directed to the agency that holds the wrong record.

Lincoln Driver Record Requests
The official DVS record request form separates driving records from motor vehicle records. Driving-record fields include last, first, and middle name, date of birth, Minnesota DL or ID number, a request for a non-certified copy, certified copy, or certified copy plus original issue-date letter, and an explanation of the requested details. Requests for another person's record require permissible-use information.

DVS contact information lists 445 Minnesota St., Suite 190, St. Paul, MN 55101-5190, phone 651-297-5029, and TTY 651-282-6555. Mail requests require a legible copy of a driver's license or government ID, or a notarized signature, and should not include cash.
Lincoln DWI and CDL Cases
DWI and serious traffic offenses can route into criminal court records. Those cases may have a CR case number and require court appearance before payment. Commercial drivers should treat traffic citations with care because court outcomes can affect CDL status and reporting. The research did not identify a Lincoln-specific CDL diversion rule or local defensive-driving dismissal program. When a citation involves CDL status, court appearance, DVS reporting, or employer reporting, confirm options with the Court Payment Center, court administration, or counsel before paying.
Lincoln Traffic Public Access
Traffic court case data is public when Minnesota court-access rules allow it. Minnesota Statutes section 169.99 addresses citation and fine notice content, and section 171.12 governs driver records. Court records are also subject to the Minnesota Rules of Public Access, including remote-access limits for some records.
Failure to pay or appear can have serious consequences. The Pay Fines page says a warrant may issue, late penalties may be assessed, and failure to appear may be treated as a guilty plea and waiver unless the person appears within 10 days and shows the failure was due to circumstances beyond control. DPS or DNR license consequences may also follow in some cases.

Note: The Lincoln County court counter cannot accept payments after 2:30 p.m. on the last working day of the month, so fine payments may need the Payment Center instead.
